I’m an adjunct professor at Carleton’s Institute of Cognitive Science and a visiting professor at Rob West’s lab. My current research project is modelling the social dynamics of exploitation using virtual experiments and computer models. Outside of academics, I’m the principal of Sysabee, a consulting company that specializes in human systems analysis using data science, computer simulation and conceptual modelling techniques. I am also a founder of AI Guides and the Data Action Lab. Given the interdisciplinary nature of my research area, I’m a strong believer in collaborative research. While I do engage in some field research and experimentation, my main methodological focus is on creating models.
